What is Andes Inspiration?

I'm Damián Peralta, a licensed trekking guide (licence 261) with twenty years in the Andes and eight Aconcagua summits behind me. Andes Inspiration is what I do now: small-group days in the mountains, on routes the agencies don't use, at the pace of whoever comes.

I'm also a visual artist. These mountains are where my work comes from, and that's where the name comes from too.

What guests say

80 five-star reviews on Airbnb and GetYourGuide

"Big shoutout to Damian for being a true gentleman and helping me cross a river, protecting me from plants with thorns and sharing his Mate with me. He also prepared a packed lunch and even asked if I had any dietary preferences. He is very well prepared for any emergency and made me feel safe at all times."

"This experience was truly one of a kind! Damian was incredibly knowledgeable and made the entire hike even more meaningful. The trail is done at your own pace and they provide a great lunch and snacks along the way. You get some of the best views of the Andes, it was honestly one of the highlights of my time in Mendoza."

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need hiking experience?

No. Most people who come haven't hiked in years. I choose the route once I know how you're feeling and we stop as often as you want.

How hard is it?

The full day is 8 to 12 km with 400 to 600 m of ascent, between 2,000 and 3,000 m. The half day is about an hour and a half of walking. If you can walk for a few hours on uneven ground, you can do it.

Where do we go?

Into the Andes an hour or so west of Mendoza, around Potrerillos and the Cordón del Plata. I pick the exact spot on the day, depending on the weather and the group.

Do you pick me up?

Yes, from your accommodation in Mendoza city or nearby, included in the price. Valle de Uco is possible for an extra fee, just message me first.

How do I book?

Message me on WhatsApp and I'll tell you what dates are open. You can also book through Airbnb or GetYourGuide if you prefer.
